Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 9, 2026
This policy explains how Apex Business Marketing (“Apex,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information through apexbusinessmarketing.com, ApexSEO, and our business services. For service rules, see our Terms of Service.
ApexSEO: social accounts and AI content
ApexSEO is software provided by Apex Business Marketing for business marketing work. This policy covers ApexSEO’s social-content features as well as our website and services. We handle account administration and support information for our own service; when an authorized business asks us to manage its content or social accounts, we process that information to carry out its instructions.
The current social workflow creates and edits image and text drafts, connects authorized social accounts through Ayrshare, and submits supported posts after an explicit publishing action. Available features depend on the installed version, provider, account type, permissions, and platform approval. A platform’s inclusion here does not mean that every API or publishing format is available. The current image studio offers YouTube draft/download preparation; it does not publish YouTube Community image posts.
Information and permissions used
- Business and account information: business name, website, contact information, client/workspace identifiers, connected platform names, profile/page/channel identifiers, connection status, and permissions needed to identify the correct publishing destination.
- Your content: prompts, business briefs, instructions, imported photos, generated images, captions, hashtags, post titles, links, selected platforms, drafts, reusable templates, and requested publishing settings.
- Publishing records: prepared previews, submission attempts, provider post identifiers, returned status and error information, and recent publishing history, used to show outcomes and avoid accidental duplicate posts.
- Authorization information: API credentials and provider profile keys used by the configured connection. Social-network sign-in and authorization occur through the platform or connection provider. Do not send us your social-network passwords.
For Facebook and Instagram, connections concern the authorized Page or professional account and supported content publishing. LinkedIn connections concern the member or organization the user is authorized to manage. Pinterest connections concern the selected account and supported Pin destinations. TikTok publishing, where enabled, concerns the authorized creator and permitted content. A YouTube API-enabled feature uses YouTube API Services and may process the authorized channel, user-supplied upload media and metadata, and returned upload status. We request access only for the feature being connected; the authorization screen identifies the actual permissions. Connecting a social account is not permission to read unrelated private messages, contacts, or advertising data.
AI processing and service providers
When you request AI generation or editing, ApexSEO sends the relevant business brief, prompt, instructions, and selected reference image to OpenAI’s API to produce images or copy. Generated material is returned to the workspace for review. This is content generation, not a model-training feature. The social-generation workflow does not send social login credentials or a feed of connected-account activity to OpenAI. Do not place passwords, unnecessary personal data, or confidential information in generation prompts or images. OpenAI processes requests under its applicable API terms and data policies; provider retention can differ from local draft retention.
Ayrshare provides the configured social account-linking and publishing service. It processes connection information, client profile identifiers, submitted posts/media, and publishing responses to deliver that service. In the current image workflow, media is uploaded to the publishing provider after the user selects Publish now. The destination network receives content and associated publishing information and displays it according to the selected settings and its own rules. An authorized agency/workspace administrator can access the client drafts and publishing records they manage.
We use these providers to carry out requested functions, not to sell connected-account data or create unrelated advertising profiles. Platform API data is not authorized for general-purpose AI training by acceptance of this policy. Any new use or disclosure requiring consent must be disclosed and consented to separately before it begins. See OpenAI’s privacy information and Ayrshare’s privacy policy.
Storage, retention, and user control
The desktop social module stores account configuration, client connection records, drafts, templates, assets, and recent post records on the computer running ApexSEO. Its social storage uses operating-system-backed encryption. The current recent-post history is limited to 20 entries per client; this is a count limit, not automatic time-based deletion. Saved drafts, templates, and assets can remain until cleared or removed. Exported files and user-created backups are separate copies and must be managed by their owner. Providers also process and retain information under their own service policies.
We retain information under our control only for the requested service, necessary security and support, or legal obligations. Revoking access stops future authorized access but does not automatically erase local drafts, provider records, or already published posts. Use the deletion process below for those records. For YouTube API data, applicable refresh/deletion requirements govern cached data; deletion requests for stored YouTube user data are handled as soon as possible and within seven calendar days. These requirements apply separately from user-created source media and ordinary business records.
You control whether to request AI generation and whether to submit a prepared post. Review the destination, text, media, and visibility settings before publishing. The current social module does not run an automatic posting schedule or offer inbox/comment management or paid-ad campaign creation. Disconnecting a provider in ApexSEO disables the configured connection; revoke the platform authorization as well when you want to withdraw the platform grant.
Disconnect accounts or request data deletion
- Remove the connection through the social platform’s account settings for connected apps, business integrations, or authorized services. For Google/YouTube, use Google Account connections or Google security permissions. You may also ask us to help disconnect the provider profile.
- Email brussell@apexbusinessmarketing.com with the subject ApexSEO Data Deletion. Identify your business, the relevant platform/account or profile URL, and whether you want connection removal, content/history deletion, or all associated information deleted. Do not send passwords or tokens.
- We verify your authority, identify information under our control, remove it or direct the relevant processor to do so, and confirm completion or explain any limited legally required retention. We respond within applicable legal and platform deadlines. If a desktop workspace is operated by your agency or another administrator, we coordinate with that administrator because we cannot remotely erase files on an independently controlled computer.
You do not need to sign in to view these instructions or email a request. Facebook and Instagram users may use this same process for Meta-connected information. Disconnecting or deleting ApexSEO records does not remove content already held by Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube, or another network. Delete published content using the network’s own controls or an authorized feature that specifically supports deletion. In particular, deletion of data held by Apex does not delete data held by YouTube.
Network privacy information: Meta / Facebook and Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, and Google / YouTube. Provider operations can involve processing in the United States and other countries. Where required, applicable transfer protections must be used. Contact us about the providers and safeguards relevant to your service.
Website, business services, and Google Ads
The following provisions also apply. The Google Ads restrictions below specifically govern that separate integration and are not a statement that ApexSEO social drafts are never stored or sent to its disclosed content-generation and publishing providers.
1. Information we collect
When you contact us or request services, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, business name, email address, telephone number, messages, and project details. We also maintain communications and business records needed to provide and administer our services.
Our website processes technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, and security or error logs. Website analytics and cookies are described below. These website activities are separate from access to your Google Ads account.
2. Google Ads API and keyword research
We access Google Ads accounts only with authorization, through Google’s authorization process or an authorized Google Ads manager-account relationship. Google handles sign-in; we do not ask for your Google password. A Google Ads connection does not grant us access to your Gmail messages or Google Drive files.
For keyword research, we process seed keywords, website URLs, selected locations and languages, and Google’s results, which may include keyword ideas, search-volume estimates, competition indicators, bid estimates, and forecasts. Research inputs are sent to Google to obtain the requested results.
For authorized account reporting or campaign services, the information accessed may include customer and manager-account identifiers, account settings, campaigns, ad groups, ads, keywords, budgets, bids, and performance metrics such as impressions, clicks, costs, and conversions. Access is limited to information needed for the services you request. Campaign changes are made only within your authorization and agreed service scope.
We use this information to provide keyword research, evaluate advertising opportunities, review performance, deliver authorized account services, and troubleshoot the connection. If you do not authorize access, features that require it will not be available.
3. Google Ads data storage and sharing
We do not store Google Ads API results or account data in our own persistent databases or reporting archives, and we do not share that data with third-party reporting or artificial intelligence services. We process the data as needed to complete the requested operation. This does not remove or change information held in your Google Ads account by Google.
Authorization credentials are distinct from Ads reports and keyword results. If an ongoing connection requires an authorization token, it is used only to maintain authorized access, protected against unauthorized access, and revoked and deleted when access is no longer needed. Any stored authorization token must be encrypted at rest.
We do not sell Google user data, provide it to data brokers, use it to train general-purpose AI models, or use it for unrelated advertising profiles, credit decisions, or surveillance. Any human access is limited to data you authorize us to review for your services, necessary security investigations, legal obligations, or other circumstances allowed by applicable Google policies.
Apex’s use of information obtained through Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including applicable Limited Use requirements. Applicable restrictions also cover data derived from Google user data. Our Google Ads integration is subject to the Google Ads API terms and product policies.
4. How we use other information
We use information you provide to respond to inquiries, deliver agreed services, communicate with you, maintain business records, protect our systems, and meet legal obligations. Where a legal basis is required, processing is based on performing a contract or requested pre-contract steps, legitimate interests in service administration and security, legal obligations, or your consent, as applicable. You can withdraw consent for processing that relies on it.
5. When information is disclosed
Contact information and ordinary business records may be handled by service providers that support our website, hosting, communications, and business administration, or by people you authorize. Information may also be disclosed when legally required or necessary to protect rights and security. These general provisions do not authorize sharing Google Ads data with reporting or AI services.
Google receives requests and any authorized changes submitted through the Google Ads API. Any disclosure of Google user data must comply with applicable Google policies, including their consent and purpose restrictions. Where those policies require prior explicit consent for a business transfer, we will obtain it before transferring Google user data. Google processes information under its own Privacy Policy.
6. Security and retention
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information handled, including secure transmission and limiting access to authorized people and systems. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
We do not retain Google Ads API results after processing the requested operation. Other information, such as inquiries, correspondence, agreements, and accounting records, is retained only as needed to provide services, administer our relationship, resolve disputes, maintain security, or satisfy legal obligations. When no longer needed, it is deleted or de-identified as appropriate.
7. Disconnecting Google and requesting deletion
You may revoke an OAuth connection through your Google Account connections settings. If access is provided through a Google Ads manager account, you can remove the manager relationship in Google Ads account access settings. Removing an OAuth connection does not necessarily remove a separate manager-account relationship.
To request deletion of information held by Apex or assistance disconnecting, email brussell@apexbusinessmarketing.com with the subject “Privacy / Data deletion.” Identify the business or account concerned, but do not send passwords or access tokens. We may verify your identity or authority before acting. We respond within the time required by applicable law and explain any legally required retention. We cannot delete information maintained independently by Google through a request to Apex.
8. Website analytics, cookies, and external services
Our website uses Google Analytics through MonsterInsights to understand website traffic and usage, such as pages viewed, device information, and interactions. Analytics information is separate from Google Ads API account data. We use CookieYes to manage website cookie preferences. You can use the site’s cookie controls, where displayed, and your browser settings to manage or delete cookies; blocking cookies may affect some features.
You can learn about Google’s handling of information at How Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services and about browser-based analytics opt-out options at Google Analytics Opt-out. When you choose to follow a link to an external service, such as a scheduling service, that provider’s privacy policy applies.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information; object to or restrict processing; withdraw consent; or complain to a data-protection authority. Contact us using the details below. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
10. Children
Our services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
11. Changes to this policy
We will post updates here and revise the effective date. Before using Google user data for a new purpose or introducing storage or sharing not described here, we will update the disclosures and obtain any consent required by Google’s policies and applicable law.
